The Manhattan Beach Pier has served as a backdrop for many days, nights, life moments, fantastic memories for our little family and an incredible source of inspiration for both Jake and myself– it was pretty cool bringing Ivonne here for the first time. We wandered the streets and talked about her upcoming trip to Colombia. Ivonne was heading home for the holidays to visit family and friends, and she hoped to bring back some portraits from our outing to show her loved ones. Before moving to the US Ivonne spent a few years in Tel Aviv where she studied Hebrew. She said she fell for it’s people and culture and loved the lively nature of the city. She eventually decided to leave because of a growing fear of war in the region. She now lives in Echo Park and says she still has a lot to learn about LA. I hope I served as an OK Manhattan Beach tour guide!
